John Henderson (Meat Specialist) Ltd Trade Terms and Conditions

“The Company” is John Henderson (Meat Specialist) Ltd.  The “customer” is any person, firm, company or legal entity that places an order or buys any products from the company.  “Products” are any food/ produce/ goods, “listed product” a product which is part of the company’s range”. A “sourced product” is specifically sourced to fulfil a specific customer requirement.  

The “contract” is the terms and conditions as outlined below.

HOW TO ORDER

Office Hours Monday to Friday from 9.00am to 4.00pm, Saturday from 9.00am to 1.00pm.  Retail orders can be placed via our website.

PRICES 

    1. All prices exclude VAT where applicable and are effective from 1st April 2020.
    2. We will try to hold prices, however due to fluctuations in meat markets, we reserve the right to alter our prices without prior notice.
    3. Prices and product formats listed here are correct at the time of going to press.
    4. We can’t always guarantee specific products.  However, we will do our utmost to ensure we keep our list up to date.

VAN DELIVERIES

2.1 Deliveries are Monday – Saturday from 7.30 am within our delivery geographical area.  Timed deliveries are not part of the company’s policy. Please ask our sales team, which areas we deliver too.  Subject to location, minimum orders may apply. Orders below the minimum order (£30.00), may incur an administrative charge.

2.2 Delivery shall be made to the address agreed between ourselves and the customer order details. In the event we are asked to leave goods without a signature, the risk of damage or loss passes to the customer.

2.3 Any times and dates quoted for delivery are approximate only.  We will make every effort to meet the customer’s requirements.  We aim to delivery locally within 3 days from when order was placed.

2.4 Ensure you check your delivery upon receipt.  Any inaccuracy in the delivery in either content or quality, The Company must be notified within 24 hours of delivery.

COURIER DELIVERY

3.1 We will e mail a dispatch date / delivery to customer date (we use a third party courier for this service for a national delivery orders). 

3.2 A carriage charge will apply to all orders, which can be quoted at application.  We only deliver to Mainland UK.

3.3 For next day deliveries, please consult The Company sales team.

3.4 We aim to delivery National deliveries between 5 – 7 days.  Orders placed on a Friday/ Saturday will be sent via Courier the following week.

RECEIPT OF DELIVERIES

4.1 Please check your goods carefully on arrival.  If there is any sign of damage to goods, it is crucial to note this on the delivery note.  Without this it may not be possible to make a claim.

4.2 We have to know within 24 hours of delivery if there are shortages, mistakes or damage to your order.

4.3 The Company cannot be held responsible for damaged goods received but not signed for.

4.4 Please also make sure that the number of items delivered agrees with the quantity on the delivery note/ invoice.

4.5 We have made it a policy that there are no collections excluding the courier company.

PAYMENT

5.1 Title to any purchased products passes only on receipt of payment in full.

5.2 Payment can be made by major credit or debit cards, paypal.

5.3 For all retail customers, we take payment with order.

RETURNS AND COLLECTIONS

6.1 Claims for damaged goods can only be accepted if the customer notifies the company with 24 hours of delivery

6.2 The company will not accept responsibility for any damaged goods that are not notified within 24 hours of delivery.

6.3 If goods are found to be damaged, The Company will replace or issue a credit note for them, provided that the goods are returned to The Company if requested to do so, within 24 hours from when the claim for damaged goods was raised.

6.4 We will endeavour to resolve any issues promptly and may offer a refund or replacement goods at our discretion.

6.5 For collection of goods to be returned they must be kept in fridges/ freezers until they can be collected by our van drivers, ensuring that the goods are packaged appropriately.  All goods to be returned must be labelled with John Henderson Ltd.

6.6 The Company will not take any responsibility for any goods mistakenly collected by another transport or courier company not used by The Company.

6.7 The Company will not take responsibility for any goods that are lost in transit by another transport or courier company.

SUBSTITUTIONS

7.1 In the event of a food product being temporarily out of stock, The Company will offer an alternative which you can accept or decline.

SPECIALIST PRODUCTS

8.1 These products are not always held in stock at our factory.  

8.2 As a guide please give as much notice as you can for specialised orders.  Order times are subject to availability.

8.3 A minimum order may be in place, please ask the sales team on quantity before ordering.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

9.1 We reserve the right to alter these terms and conditions at any time without any prior notice.
